My angling journey began at the age of 10 when I started fishing alongside my dad on local rivers and canals. From there, I progressed into match fishing, competing on a variety of venues and developing a broad understanding of tactics, watercraft, and fish behaviour that still benefits my fishing today.

Over the last 15 years, carp fishing has become my main focus and greatest passion. I’ve been fortunate enough to land some incredible fish across the UK and Europe, including a 41.6lb mirror carp in the UK and a 76lb common carp overseas.

Running my own heating and plumbing business, while raising a young family, means time on the bank is often limited. Because of that, I value every opportunity to get out fishing. For me, it’s not only about catching carp; it’s about enjoying the environment, escaping the pressures of everyday life, and making lasting memories.

Preparation plays a huge role in my fishing. Whether I’m planning a trip, organising tackle, or tying rigs, I believe success starts long before arriving at the lake. I’ve always lived by the quote, “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail,” and it perfectly reflects my approach to angling.

That mindset is one of the reasons I’m proud to be part of Team Evolve.
