About Lewis Dabell
I’ve been hooked on fishing since I was around eight years old. Like many anglers, I started out float fishing for anything that would bite before moving into match fishing. It wasn’t long before I discovered carp fishing, and I’ve never looked back.
My carp fishing journey began on the lakes of Yorkshire, where I learned the foundations of the sport. Once I passed my driving test, a whole new world opened up, allowing me to travel south and fish some of the country’s most iconic venues. Those experiences helped me develop my angling and gave me the opportunity to target and catch much larger carp than I’d grown up fishing for.
Today, my passion lies in big, windswept pits where every bite has to be earned. I thrive on the challenge of reading the conditions, locating the fish, and putting together a successful campaign. For me, it’s not just about catching big carp—it’s about the challenge, the journey, and the satisfaction that comes from doing it the hard way.
