I remember being just three years old, watching my dad head out fishing. I’d always hassle him to take me along, and eventually, he gave in — and from that moment on, I’ve never looked back.

I started with float fishing when I was young, and as the years went on, I progressed into carp angling. I got into it properly during my teenage years, and it’s been my obsession ever since.

There’s something about fishing that gives me the ultimate buzz. Whether it’s seeing that rod bend round or hearing the alarms scream off — it’s a feeling I can’t really put into words. It’s more than just a hobby for me — it’s my passion.

Being self-employed gives me the freedom to work around my fishing, which is the perfect balance for me.
