About Jason Woods
With a full-time office job, Jason makes the most of his time on the bank through quick overnight sessions and the occasional well-earned day off. He thrives on fishing small, pressured venues—clear water, weedy margins, and a rich history are what draw him in. Autumn is his prime time for big carp, but when winter rolls in, he’s often found chasing grayling or barbel—or carving up the ski slopes—before returning to the carp scene in early spring.
A dedicated boilie angler, Jason prefers close-range, accurate fishing over a well-prepared spot. His carp journey began over 35 years ago, landing his first twenty at Old Bury Hill. He became a familiar face at Yateley in the ’90s, followed by stints at Horton, Longfield Road Lake—where he caught the iconic Big Dink, his first forty, in 2008—Fox Pool, and various Colne Valley and Kent syndicates. These days, his efforts are focused on Dinton’s White Swan, with a few more special waters in his sights.
For Jason, it’s all about the challenge—piecing together the puzzle of a tricky water and earning every carp along the way.
