About Dan Winfield
Dan started fishing at the tender age of 11, inspired by his late grandfather’s stories of free-lining bread to lily pads for hungry carp. Although carp fishing makes up a large part of his angling, he has a passion for targeting other species too. He feels at home on a river as he does on a lake, and the allure of running water always draws him back.
As a family man with two wonderful boys and an amazing and understanding wife, Dan makes time for fishing during the week as the weekends are reserved for family time. It helps that both his sons are avid anglers themselves. Whether it’s a short or longer session, Dan always applies himself, putting a big emphasis on watercraft and effort – “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard”.
