My angling journey started off like most, pleasure fishing with family members as a boy, I then got into carp fishing with friends as a teen and since then I’ve never looked back.

As a family man with a wonderful wife, a teenage daughter, and a 9-to-5 job, I’ve had to learn how to plan my angling around the demands of daily life. It’s a challenge, but one I embrace. I find myself sacrificing a good chunk of my annual leave to ensure I can fish at the best times of the year, always mindful of keeping that important balance between my passion for angling and my responsibilities at home. It’s all about making sure I don’t miss the key moments at lake, while also being present for my family.

Angling has become very personal to me over the years. It’s not just about catching fish it’s about doing it on my terms, in a way that feels true to me.
