Heli System – Leader

Step 1

Splice your weight link (or lead/weight if directly attaching) on to your leadcore/leadfree leader.

Step 2

If you wish to cut your naked heli buffer sleeve down to a shorter length, do so now, using the cutting guides on the heli buffer sleeve as a guide.

Using a gated needle, slide your heli buffer sleeve onto your leader from the top.

Step 3

Slide your heli buffer sleeve all the way down your leader, and onto your weight link/swivel.

Step 4

Slide your chosen Evolve swivel onto your leader.

Step 5

Using a gated needle, slide the leader heli sleeve onto your leader. Moisten the leader above the sleeve and set at the desired position on your leader.

Step 6

Slide the tungsten bead onto your leader.

Step 7

Moisten the leader heli sleeve, and position the tungsten bead into your desired position on the leader heli sleeve (top of the sleeve is the lowest release force, base of sleeve is hardest release force).

Step 8

Attach your chosen weight/lead onto the weight link (if not already directly attached), and slide the leader heli buffer sleeve down to cover the weight link and/or swivel (heli buffer sleeve will align to the weight link/swivel eye as you slide it down).

Attach your chosen rig and you are ready to fish!
